Book Reading at the Bookstore in Lenox, MA

Me and my friend David Giannini

My dear and long-time friend David Giannini and I following our reading at The Bookstore in Lenox, Massachusetts. The Bookstore, which has been around for fifty years, is one of the great independent bookstores in the country.

In my twenties, I used to wander among the books and think, "If only I could one day give a reading here, I would know I'd made it." And it only took me most of those fifty years to do it. . .

During my recent trip to the Berkshires, Sherry Steiner and Erica Spizz of Community Television for The Southern Berkshires filmed me reading part of Chapter One of my book, Loss of Life.

Feel free to fast forward through my introduction, as it’s long, and I didn’t realize they were going to fix the camera on me the whole time. . .
